(Feb 18):
The
Maine Office of Substance Abuse (OSA) recently announced that the
results of two major surveys reveal a huge gap between reported teenage
alcohol use in Maine, and Maine parents perceptions of underage
drinking in their own homes. While more than 98% of the Maine parents
believe that their teen had not been drinking alcohol within the month
prior to the survey, 41% of the Maine teens reported that they had
consumed alcohol within the same period prior to the survey.
Statistically speaking, 36% of Maine parents surveyed more than 1/3 -
